No one likes a loser- review of THE PIRATE QUEEN

We were given tickets to the preview performance of TPQ from a friend. My mother had seen the working production in Chicago and had given it a really poor review. Unfortunately, she was spot on. First the good: the lead girl had a rather pleasant voice . . . the hard shoe dancing was rather lively . . . . . . and that's all folks. Now the "bad": everything else. But seriously- the production was very boring, simple and silly. Typically I pick apart performances, but in this production I feel that everyone "tried" they were simply stuck in a dud. One of the producers spoke to the "mostly Broadway performers audience" before the show. I wonder if he really thinks this production is worth the millions that have been put into it. Dear Broadway, please come up with a good story. Argggg
