Practice Makes better . . .

Laural acted as second DP for a webisode titled: "Free Wireless Cafe"- filmed at Freeze Peach Cafe in Astoria. Our friend, JOSE, needed some help completing his new project. Jose is a fantastic editor and I'm sure he will be able to work his magic on what was filmed. NOTE: Laural makes a special appearance as a "customer" in need of the bathroom . . . hummmm . . . check out Jose's website: www.powernapfilms.com

Atlantic City, why did you do us so wrong?

KBLZ took a little vacation to AC this weekend. We went to A. gamble B. eat and C. celebrate Laural's b-day.
A. we lost all our money B. we had some great food and C. laural turned 29 and feels sooooo young.
*Food: We had a couple beers and watched MARCH MADNESS at GAME ON- a bar @ the new Shops on the Pier@ Caesars.
We had a GREAT meal at BUDDAKAN- also @ The Pier. The Sea bass and lamb chops were very tasty!
We split a Reuben and cried while we ate some ice cream. Cried because we lost all of our "gambling envelope money" at the stupid craps table. No love from The Tropicana, Bally's, Caesars, Wild Wild West, Trump Plaza . . . or the crappy Showboat.
We returned to NYC on the bus and agreed that we are not lucky . . . well, we are VERY lucky in LOVE! But that's all we got! :)

Funny- but not too funny . . . three funny

Last week Laural performed with her classmates in their "show" @ Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She took an 8 week 101 improv class and it all wrapped up nicely with a rather funny performance on 3/11/07. Laural will now have the nickname: "The Burning Bush." What does that mean you may be asking . . .? Well, I guess somebody should have been at the show supporting Laural.

Correction to Pirate Queen review

I apologise for incorrectly writing that The Pirate Queen was playing at The New Victory Theatre- actually it is playing at The Hilton Theatre. Thanks Sylvia

No one likes a loser- review of THE PIRATE QUEEN

We were given tickets to the preview performance of TPQ from a friend. My mother had seen the working production in Chicago and had given it a really poor review. Unfortunately, she was spot on. First the good: the lead girl had a rather pleasant voice . . . the hard shoe dancing was rather lively . . . . . . and that's all folks. Now the "bad": everything else. But seriously- the production was very boring, simple and silly. Typically I pick apart performances, but in this production I feel that everyone "tried" they were simply stuck in a dud. One of the producers spoke to the "mostly Broadway performers audience" before the show. I wonder if he really thinks this production is worth the millions that have been put into it. Dear Broadway, please come up with a good story. Argggg

KBLZ Productions blog #2

We have a blog- through the "blog" people, but because they no longer allow us to post photos-we will be switching over to blogspot/blogger. Unfortunately, our other blog is the first thing that comes up when you google "laural and Karl." So, we will keep that blog and use it to direct people HERE.
